International Center for Journalists: A global leader in journalism training

The International Center for Journalists is a nonprofit journalism organization that has worked with more than 140,000 journalists from 180 countries since its founding in 1984. ICFJ President Joyce Barnathan and Vice President for Development Vjollca Shtylla teamed up with Tsinghua and Bloomberg to create the Global Business Journalism Program in 2007.

Based in Washington, D.C, ICFJ works at the nexus of journalism and technology, building the expertise and storytelling skills of reporters worldwide. Through ICFJ's programs, journalists are enhancing news coverage and connecting more deeply with their audiences. ICFJ's work helps to increase the flows of reliable, trustworthy news. ICFJ believes that better journalism leads to better lives.

 

ICFJ focuses on media innovation and technology, leading to scores of startups and new tools for better storytelling. Its International Journalists’ Network, published in seven languages, has enriched media professionals with the latest tech trends and training opportunities.

GBJ students are eligible to apply for ICFJ internships.
